Canien Thhm

Graduated with a Diploma in Child Psychology and Christian Counselling from Sabah Theological Seminary, and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counselling. Canien enjoys connecting with children and builds relationships through play to help them relieve life’s stresses. Canien places great importance on the dynamics between children and their families, often creating games that encourage parent-child interaction and help develop communication skills. In addition, Canien uses sandtray therapy to engage with special needs children, helping them open up and express themselves freely. Canien enjoys being a volunteer because the experience often comes with various challenges, which serve as opportunities to train herself to view the world from a broader perspective and to enhance her sense of empathy.

 

毕业于儿童心理学专业文凭，以及沙巴神学院基督教辅导，目前修读辅导硕士学位。喜欢接触孩子，透过“玩”与孩子建立关系，帮助他们疏解生活上的压力。佳念注重孩子与家人的相处模式，因此会制造游戏让父母与孩子互动，帮助他们把沟通的能力建立起来。此外佳念也借着沙箱与特殊孩子建立互动，让他们敞开心扉表达自己。佳念喜欢当义工，因为义工的经历也会面对各种不同的挑战，为的是可以训练自己用更宽广的角度看世界、以及提升同理心。
